A note on Schwegler’s conjecture about Metaphysics E1, 1026a14

In this paper I offer some reasons against Albert Schwegler’s conjecture for the text of Metaphysics E1, 1026a14. Schwegler suggested that in 1026a14 the term ἀχώριστα should be replaced with χωριστά or τὰ χωριστά. This conjecture has become predominant and is still accepted by many interpreters. I discuss the reasons given by Schwegler for the correction of the text and try to show that they should be rejected.
