The teachings of Seneca: Education for living life with wisdom
Keywords:
Stoicism, Seneca, Letters to Lucílio, WisdomAbstract
This article aims to analyze the possibility of adapting the teachings of Seneca for use in our days, and to lead us to living life with wisdom. In view of the reflections that guide stoic philosophy, the following question arises: what possibility is there in stoic philosophy for guiding us to tranquility and happiness? The starting point will be a reading of the commentators of Stoicism in general and of Seneca in particular, in the sense of showing how to be reunited with a happy existence by taking into account duty and self-discipline.
