Plato and the semantics foundation of ethics
Keywords:
Plato, Semantics, rigorous DiscourseAbstract
In book VII of the Republic, philosophy appears as an ascent, an uphill path, that leads from becoming to being. In book I the method of this path gets indicated by Thrasymachus, and it is the method of rigorous discourse in order to grasp the essence of beings. This method outlines a world in which no one makes a mistake and everyone is anchored on the proper definition, which expresses the essence. This world is the only reference point for constituting a morality katà philosophian.Downloads
