Abstract

Even though the Minoan and Mycenaean civilizations are different, they have many similarities that unite both cultures, whether in religion, or in language or in the way they built their houses. The two millennia that separate the one civilization from the other show a clear historical continuity, something that is lacking in the change from the Bronze Age to the Iron Age and the rise of the archaic polis.
