This paper aims to demonstrate how Greek philosophical reflection on psyché was fundamental to the elaboration of the Christian concept of soul. Socrates’ ideas started a revolution that changed the Greek concept of psyché, and this in turn was a decisive step in the fusion of Greek and Semitic-Biblical traditions in Christian anthropology.Downloads
