Individualidade, Misantropia e Vilania – Sob o Renascimento
Keywords:
individuality, Renaissance, misanthropy, villainy, autobiographyAbstract
This paper deals with the emergence of the individual, during the Renaissance, and the subsequent turns in the ethical universe concerning the knowledge of the self and of the men. To this end, Bacon and Shakespeare are the authors analysed when approaching the individuality, misanthropy and villainy. The force of the individualities gave rise to the new autobiographical genre. As an example of the novelty, we turn to Cardano’s and Cellini’s autobiographies.Downloads
