A Stásis: o Conflito na República romana
Keywords:
Constitution, political ideas, republicAbstract
In the sixth Book of his Histories Polybius gives an account of Roman government in which he tried to explain the stability of Rome. The argument of Cicero’s De Republica is also the question about the best form of a state; he emphasizes the presence of the stateman able to lead the state on a proper course. These ideas reflect the political world in which it was written.Downloads
