A noção de arché no contexto da Filosofia dos Pré-Socráticos

To the presocratics, arché is not submitted to a concept of linear time (in which one thought a beginning and an end), but to a cyclic time. Due to this point of view arché would not be a rigorous synonim to beginnning, but expressing origin on the time. However, being ancetral word, it designate equally power or sovereignity, as a law or a command that, inherent to Cháos, forces it to became a Cosmos.
