Sobre el suicidio en la Filosofía Estoica
Keywords:
Stoicism, suicide, EthicsAbstract
The Stoics are usually taken to be the philosophers that in antiquity justified suicide as a ‘due action’ proper of the wise person. In this paper the probable influences of the Platonic Socrates at Plato’s Phaedo on older Stoics are ponted out: secondly, the Aristotelian position on the issue is briefly presented, and finally some apparently contraditory details in the Stoic account o suicide are indicated as well.Downloads
