The purpose of this work is to discuss the arguments from chap. 5 and 6, book I of de Politics of Aristotle highlighting schematically in syllogistic form, the sctructure, coherence and validity of Aristotle’s reasoning. I will also show how Aristotle’s arguments and conclusions are both more and less controversial than current scholarship has generally supposed.Downloads
