Hegel e Platão, filósofos da matemática

One of the crucial aspects of Plato’s philosophy of mathematics comes from the conception attributed to him by Aristotle. According to this conception the mathematical objects are intermediaries between the sensitive thing and the idea. In order to discuss and to oppose such argument, one has to borrow from the observation made by Hegel in some notes of the Science of Logic on the testimony of Aristotle about the intermediaries – and their pedagogic value – attributed by Plato to mathematics, especially in the Republic.Issue
